Gift Guide for Plant-Based Fitness Fans: Inna Protein Picks From $8 to $149

Buying protein powder as a gift sounds risky. Flavour is personal, and a full bag of the wrong one ends up at the back of the cupboard. The way around that is to give variety, or to give the extras that make a routine nicer. Inna Protein, a family-owned Australian brand that makes vegan protein from Australian-grown faba beans, sells several bundles that work well as gifts, along with a few small add-ons.

Here are the best options by budget, with prices in Australian dollars.

Under $15: stocking fillers

• Inna Protein Dosing Scoop ($8): available in black or gold. A small, practical gift for someone who already uses the powder.
• Bamboo Storage Canister ($12): for decanting powder out of the pouch onto the kitchen bench.
• Protein Pancake Mix ($14.50): vanilla or chocolate, 200g. Inna lists about 21 to 22g of protein per 100g of mix. It needs an egg (or a mashed banana for a vegan version), milk and a little butter or oil. A good weekend-breakfast gift.
• Single sample sachets ($5 each): 30g, one serve. Tuck a couple into a card.

$20 to $40: try-everything gifts

• Protein Pancake 2 Pack ($22): one of each flavour, or two of the same.
• Starter Bundle ($26): six 30g sachets, one of every flavour: matcha, chocolate, vanilla, coconut, salted caramel and unflavoured. This is the best gift for someone new to plant protein, because they find their favourite without committing to a bag.
• Creatine Monohydrate ($28): 300g of single-ingredient creatine with no fillers or sweeteners. Best for someone who already trains regularly and has asked for it, rather than as a surprise.
• Travel Pack ($39): ten single-serve sachets in any mix you choose. Ideal for someone who travels, commutes to the gym, or just likes not measuring.

$55 to $100: the main gift

• A full 750g bag ($59): 25 serves. Choose this only if you know their flavour. Vanilla is the safest single choice.
• Taster Bundle ($59): ten 30g sachets plus one 200g pancake mix. Variety plus a breakfast treat, at the same price as a single bag.
• Foodie Bundle ($89): two 750g bags plus a pancake mix, for the person who likes cooking with protein as much as drinking it.
• Performance Bundle ($99): two 750g bags plus 300g creatine. Inna calls it its workout staple. A strong gift for a regular gym-goer.

The big gift: $149

Complete Bundle ($149): three 750g bags of your chosen flavours, two pancake mixes and 300g creatine. Bought separately those items would cost $234. It also clears Inna's $120 free-shipping threshold in Australia, which makes it the best-value gift for someone already committed to the brand.

Matching the gift to the person

• New to plant protein: Starter Bundle
• Always on the move: Travel Pack
• Loves weekend brunch: Taster Bundle or pancake mixes
• Serious about training: Performance Bundle or Complete Bundle
• Already a fan: scoop, canister and a bag of their favourite
• Prefers caffeine in the morning: include matcha, the one flavour with caffeine

Presentation ideas

A pouch of protein is not the most exciting thing to unwrap, so presentation helps. Decant a bag into the bamboo canister and add the gold scoop for a gift that looks finished on a kitchen bench. Pair the Starter Bundle with a shaker bottle and a handwritten card suggesting which flavour to try first. For a brunch lover, bundle pancake mixes with a bottle of maple syrup and some fresh berries. For the gym-goer, the Performance Bundle fits neatly in a gym bag with a towel and a water bottle.

Gifts for different occasions

For Christmas or a birthday, a bundle feels like a proper present. For a new year fitness goal, the Starter Bundle plus a scoop is an encouraging, low-pressure start. As a thank-you for a training partner or coach, a Travel Pack is thoughtful and easy to post. For someone recovering from a busy period who loves cooking, the Foodie Bundle gives them protein they can bake with as well as drink.

Things to check before you give protein

Inna's powders are vegan, dairy free, gluten free and soy free, which covers many common dietary needs. Still, check for allergies, and remember that matcha contains caffeine. Creatine is a supplement many athletes use, but it is best given to someone who has said they want it.

Inna offers a 30-day satisfaction guarantee from the date of purchase, which takes some of the risk out of gifting a flavour that misses the mark.

When to order for Christmas

Inna packs and dispatches orders from its Melbourne warehouse within 24 hours on business days, and orders placed before 12pm AEST ship the same day. Its published delivery estimates are:

• Melbourne metro: 1 to 3 business days
• Interstate metro (Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and others): 2 to 5 business days
• Regional Australia, WA, Tasmania and NT: 3 to 7 business days
• New Zealand: 3 to 7 business days; Singapore and Malaysia: 4 to 8; United States: 6 to 10

Courier networks slow down in December, so order with a buffer, especially for regional or international delivery. International orders may also attract local import duties.

Conclusion

The safest protein gift is variety: the $26 Starter Bundle or the $59 Taster Bundle lets the recipient discover a favourite. For someone who already trains, the Performance or Complete Bundle offers real value. Add a scoop or canister as a finishing touch, and order early enough for December shipping delays.
