Seeds Now Brand Deep Dive: Is It Actually a Cannabis Seed Company?
Some category listings have flagged Seeds Now under an "Adult 18 and over" type tag, which can read as a signal for cannabis seeds. That's a mislabel worth correcting directly: Seeds Now, run out of Southern California, sells organic, non-GMO, heirloom vegetable, herb, and flower seeds — no cannabis products at all. The correct category is Home Garden.
What's actually in the catalog
SeedsNow.com carries over 700 seed varieties across vegetables, fruits, culinary and medicinal herbs, flowers, sprouting and microgreens seeds, and cover crops, plus roots, bulbs, transplants, and supporting supplies like soil pods, labels, and storage. It's a family-owned business, and the range is built around home gardening rather than any single niche crop.
Seed quality claims
Seeds Now markets its stock as "Organic Non-GMO Heirloom" and untreated — meaning no chemical seed coating, which matters to gardeners who want to save seeds season to season or avoid synthetic treatments. Seeds are hand-packed in the USA, and packets are water-resistant and resealable, aimed at people storing seed for more than one growing season.
Reviews and guarantees
The company cites over 13,000 verified reviews and backs orders with a 100% satisfaction guarantee. Shipping is free and fast within the USA on orders over $10, a low threshold that makes it practical to order a handful of packets rather than committing to a large order upfront.
Who this actually fits
- Home gardeners building out a vegetable or herb garden from seed
- Homesteaders and preppers assembling a long-term seed bank, given the resealable, water-resistant packaging
- Organic-gardening enthusiasts specifically avoiding treated or GMO seed
- Not a source for cannabis seeds, despite any mislabeled category tags elsewhere — this is strictly a vegetable, herb, and flower seed company
Conclusion
Seeds Now is a straightforward heirloom and organic seed company for home gardeners, unrelated to the age-gated category some listings mistakenly applied to it. Anyone building a vegetable garden or seed bank should check current seed availability and the order minimum for free shipping.
